People First Credit Union Announces the Second Annual 'Community Champions Award' of €10,000 to Honor Local Volunteers at the Laois Community & Voluntary Awards
People First Credit Union is delighted to announce the second year of the 'Community Champions Award,' a prestigious €10,000 award aimed at recognising and supporting the extraordinary efforts of local volunteer groups within our common bond area. This initiative, which debuted last year, was first awarded to the deserving winners, Portlaoise Tidy Towns, for their outstanding biodiversity project.
With deep appreciation for the exceptional contributions of volunteers, People First Credit Union continues its commitment to fostering community development and well-being through this significant award. The €10,000 award is designed to empower a local volunteer group within our common bond, with a vision to generate sustainable benefits for both the group and the wider community.

The three finalists will be announced at the Community and Voluntary Awards on 8th November 2024, with the winner being revealed at our AGM in January 2025.
