Joint Accounts

Banking together, made simple.

A joint account lets two people share one account, making it easier to manage household finances, save together, or handle shared expenses.

Required Documents

  • Valid Photo ID for both applicants (Passport or Driving Licence)
  • Proof of Address for both applicants dated within last six months (Utility Bill, Bank Statement, Government Letter)
  • Proof of PPSN for both applicants (e.g. payslip, Tax Credit Certificate, Medical Card)

NB: We cannot accept the Public Services Card for Proof of ID, Proof of PPSN, or Proof of Address.

How to open a joint account

1. Book an appointment

Joint Accounts can only be opened in-branch, but usually it takes less than 15 minutes to open the account! Call us on 057 86 22594 or email info@peoplefirstcu.ie to make your appointment.

2. Attend your appoinment

Call into your local branch at your appointment time with your documents. One of our Member Services Officers will take your details and open your account.

You'll need to lodge a minimum of €5 to activate the account.
