Payment Processing Dates over Christmas
25th Dec, 26th Dec, and 1st Jan are non-banking days for most banks and credit unions in Ireland. This means that certain automated transactions will not be processed on these days.
If you are sending money from your credit union to a different account, the cut-off time before Christmas is 1pm on Tuesday 24th December. Payments made after that time may not reach the recipient until Friday 27th December (or later depending on the receiving bank's timeframes).
If you have direct debits due on 25th, 26th, 27th Dec or 1st Jan - these may not be taken from your account until your bank's next processing day.
If you have any questions about your payments over Christmas, please get in touch and we'd be happy to help!
