We’re excited to welcome the return of Junior Savers Week from 5th - 11th October 2026!
Designed for young members, the initiative encourages positive saving habits and builds financial confidence in a fun, engaging way.
This special week is a fantastic opportunity to:
Support financial literacy in schools and communities
Access fresh creative resources to run activities and lessons

Celebrate the valuable role credit unions play in creating a saver-friendly environment
From school savings schemes and youth committees to scholarships, bursaries, and competitions, credit unions across the country will be highlighting the many ways they support young people on their financial journey.

Dream It, Save It, Draw It Chart
This is a fun and creative activity to help young savers turn their goals into reality. Children can draw what they’re saving for, set a savings goal and track their progress as they get closer to making their dream a reality.
Fun in the Classroom (The Big Quiz!)
Following on from 2025 is a strong focus on school and classroom engagement, with the addition of a dedicated Teacher Pack for local schools. The Teacher Pack includes everything educators need: an overview of the week, powerpoints to take part in the quiz in the classroom, a printable leaderboard and activity sheets for extra fun!
Teacher packs are available from credit unions to share with local schools directly. If you are a teacher looking to take part with your school, please email us at info@peoplefirstcu.ie for access to the materials and register as part of the national competition via the link below.
Competition for Schools
A Samsung Tablet is up for grabs for one lucky class. All classes that register will be entered into the draw. One school can have multiple classes entrer. You can register by clicking the "School Registration Form" button.
