Laois Business Awards 2025 Winners

We're WINNERS!

We are incredibly proud to share that People First Credit Union has won the Business Supporting Community award at the Laois 2025 Business Awards, hosted by Laois Chamber Alliance at the beautiful Heritage Hotel on Friday 9th of May! This award is a celebration of the work we’ve done with and for our community — and we’re especially proud of our Community Funding Committee, whose passion and commitment made this possible.

Reflecting on the past 12 months, here’s just some of what we've achieved together:
✨ Gave €7,000 in student scholarships to each local secondary school
✨ Donated €10,000 to our Community Champions
✨ Committed to giving away up to €70,000 to local community volunteer groups in 2025
✨ Opened a new office in Stradbally — at a time when banks are closing, we’re investing in local access and will always have a friendly face to talk to
✨ Raised funds for local charities
✨ Hosted our biggest ever Schools Quiz
🎨 Ran a hugely successful Art Competition with three entrants reaching the National Final

None of this would be possible without our incredible members. Every loan, current account, and new membership strengthens our ability to give back.

Community is our unity — and thanks to you, we continue to grow stronger together.
