People First Credit Union to Host Green Energy Event in Portlaoise Branch

People First Credit Union is delighted to announce a special Green Energy Event taking place on Friday, 26th June, at our Portlaoise branch. This informative event will focus on SEAI Grants, Solar Power Installation, and Home Energy Upgrades, providing members and the wider community with expert advice on making their homes and businesses more energy-efficient.

📅 Date: Friday, 26th June 2026
🕦 Time: 11:30am – 1:30pm
📍 Location: People First Credit Union, Portlaoise Branch

As energy costs continue to rise and more people look for sustainable ways to power their homes, solar energy has become an increasingly popular solution. Whether you are curious about how solar panels work, the savings they can offer, or the financial supports available to help with installation, this event will provide practical information and guidance to help you take the next step.

Visitors will have the opportunity to speak directly with industry experts and local representatives who can answer questions and explain the options available.

What’s Happening on the Day?

Thinking about installing solar panels or making energy-efficient improvements to your home? Our lending team will be on hand to discuss our Green Loan options and explain how People First Credit Union can help finance your renewable energy project. Find out what you need to apply and how affordable financing can help turn your solar ambitions into reality.

SEAI Grants

Meet Laurence O’Reilly, Laois SEAI Representative, who will provide information on the range of grants currently available through the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI). Laurence will be available to discuss grant eligibility, application processes, and additional home energy upgrades that can help improve comfort, reduce energy consumption, and lower household bills.

Infinite Energy

Representatives from local solar energy provider Infinite Energy will be available to discuss how solar power solutions can help homeowners and businesses significantly reduce their energy costs. Learn about solar panel installation, battery storage options, and EV charging solutions, and discover how renewable energy technologies can potentially reduce electricity bills by up to 70%.

Why Attend?

This free event is an excellent opportunity to gather information, ask questions, and explore the financial and practical aspects of investing in renewable energy. Whether you are at the beginning of your research or ready to start your energy upgrade journey, you'll leave with valuable insights and expert advice tailored to your needs.
